This project tied together studio art and graphic design in an eye-catching way showcasing how strong design projects can be when printed and physically displayed compared to looking at a screen.

Conducting research on nineteenth century typography, I developed a functional typeface that ties current day design with design of the nineteenth century to illustrate the role of industrialization in the nineteenth century in developing design as we know it today. This typeface is called New Sheriff. It’s use and Wild West personality is displayed through a series of wanted posters, bandanas, vinyl stickers, and a typeface specimen book. This project was completed through Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop and was featured in the Oakland University art gallery.
